Below is a list of chamber committees and chairs.
Beautification
This committee is responsible for planting and scheduling maintenance for the planters on Main Street. This is done in spring and fall.
Business Expo
This committee is responsible for planning and organizing the local businesses for an expo event to help promote the services available to us in the community. The event is set to take place in October.
Christmas Stroll
This committee is responsible for the Christmas Stroll which will be held on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
Craft Fairs
The Spring Craft Craft Show takes place annually in late March/Early April. This is an INDOOR event.The Elburn Days Craft Show takes place annually on the 3rd full weekend in August (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) during the Elburn Days celebration at the Elburn Community Lions Park. This event takes place OUTDOORS. These committees are responsible for craft show mailings, recruiting new crafters and the organization the the event weekend itself.
Golf Outing
This committee is responsible for every aspect of the golf outing. Setting the date, gathering hole sponsors, prizes, sending out information to Chamber members. The event is held on the first Thursday in June unless Memorial Day falls within the same week. In this case, the event is pushed to the second Thursday in June.
Recognition Dinner
Chamber event that has the membership recognize a “stand-out” member and business for the previous calendar year. This committee begins meeting in late fall to plan for the dinner in February/March.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
This committee works to welcome new businesses to Elburn and to bring public exposure to their business.
Scholarship
This committee gathers scholarship applications from the Kaneland High School senior or Kaneland District senior and after a committee review, selects two (2) recipients for the Elburn Chamber scholarship.
